Burberry

Flying High: Aviator Jackets

Aviator jackets are coming back to the forefront for the Fall/Winter 2010 season, for which I am extremely happy about I can't get enough of these jackets, they're definitely on my must have list! From girly to grunge everyone is going wild for thiss iconic jacket. Originally worn by airforce pilots in the early 1900's to keep warm, the shearling, sheepskin and leather they are constructed from certainly do the job.

Gucci

This season the jacket has been revived, restyled and refreshed by designers. From Burberry to Gucci to Derek Lam to DKNY, they all have shown some shape or form of the aviator jacket in their catwalk shows. It is
a nessecary staple for your wardrobe this season.

How to Wear:
What I would recommend you to wear with your aviator jacket would be with skinny jeans and ankle boots(either heels or flats), with the jeans balancing out the bulky jacket. To finish off the look grab a pair of aviator shades to go with your outfit & to dull the harsh winter light dampening your mood!

Up and Coming Trends!

Cocktail rings
Whether you'r wearing a colourful whimsical dress or a basic black number, just add a cocktail ring and instant glamer is achieved.  A cocktail ring is an important, eye stealing statement, with so many styles to choose from bold & beautiful to big and bling. The cocktail ring has been around for centuries. they're classic and timeless! Check out one below!

Ankle cuff shoes
Ankle cuff shoes come in so many styles, from casual to fun to edgy sophisticated, they're a must have but as they cover up you're whole foot & cut off above you're ankle, they will shorten the leg. So to compensate for shortening the bottom of your leg, try to reveal a little more on top. Try some highwasted shorts or skirts these are great for enlongating in the leg. If you are a bit short, I would go for heels simply because they lengthen the leg even more!

Skinny Belts
Originally worn for pulling in waists to create the most feminine of figures. Belts are now migrating all over the torso, from just below the bust line, to the natural waist, or even slung around the hips. Skinny belts are a wonderful compliment to dainty dresses or seperates, they're a great accessorie, and because skinny belts are so slim, you can go for a bright splash of colour or shimmering metallic finish without them taking over the outfit. But remember you're proportion when choosing a belt, an ultra thin belt might visually add weight to a plus sized woman, where as a slightly thicker width belt will produce a more balanced look!

Double Dutch: All About Clogs

A clog is a type of footwear.
There are various types of clogs, traditional clogs are shoes or sandals made predominantly out of wood, and are associated with the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Galicia, Lithuania and Sweden.

Chanel Clogs
This year clogs have resurfaced in Chanel, Louis Viutton and Alexander Wang's Spring/Summer 2010 collections.

The question is how to find the right pair? So that they won't make you look like you are out in rural Holland circa the 19th century. When you think of clogs you think heavy, clunky, uncomfortable and ugly. Yet if you get the right mix of light & airy with the heaviness of the clogs it's magic.

The beauty of clogs is that you cannnot take them seriously because they aren't ment to be serious. Pair clogs with short shorts or skirts or delicate dresses & you have got the perfect match. As shown by Marc Jacobs of Louis Vuitton who paired frilly party dresses with horsehair-covered low-riders.

The point is:
No matter what you think of clogs just give them a try, you might learn to love them.
